Have a look around. Nothing here changes a real community.
- 2. Click an event to see its details
Latest sample activity
Search a name or action, choose a date for history, then click a log. Use “Add a sample event” to preview how a new row appears.
Choose a player to see their recorded sample activity. The real dashboard groups players from recent events.
This is a walkthrough. When you sign in, the dashboard guides you through the same steps with your own server and key.
1. Create or join a community
Sign in using Discord. Server owners choose “I own a server” and name their community. Staff choose “I’m joining my team” and enter the owner’s invite code.
2. Add your server
Open Server setup and choose Add server. Give it a name and save the private key shown. The key is only displayed once.
3. Install the addon
Download northstar-logs.zip from your dashboard, extract it into your garrysmod/addons folder, then copy the configuration into lua/northstar/sv_config.lua.
Northstar.Config.URL = "https://YOUR_DASHBOARD/api.php?route=ingest" Northstar.Config.Key = "YOUR_PRIVATE_SERVER_KEY" -- Restart your Garry’s Mod server
Example configuration only. Use the URL and key from your own dashboard. Your host must allow custom addons and outbound HTTPS.
4. Check for your first event
Start the addon and check the dashboard. A bridge check-in confirms the addon reached Northstar. Join the server to create a player event, then open Logs & history.

Your choice is saved in this browser and shared with the real website.
Try the hide-identifiers checkbox on Logs & history. In the real dashboard, permissions and Streamer Mode redact recognised identifiers on the server before transmission.
Reset sample events and filters. Your colour theme stays the same.
